Since the last entry was 2008, people will and would consider this blog dead.
Anyways getting to the point.
Have you had an experience whereby there is a normally fast song, the longer you hear it, eventually the song will appear slower to you.
It was a little scary at first because the initial tempo will appear warped in some case because, or what I think is. My ears and brain were trained to pick up certain notes or patterns and anticipate them, so it's like seeing into the future.
But somehow, it does not apply for me and piano.
I wonder why...
Slow songs are of no problem.
But fast songs are a problem for me.
For example.
There is a song that I am learning now, Sinister Sundown.
So far, most of the songs that I am learning isn't giving me much trouble, save for Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 (Curse you Franz Liszt).
But the Sinister Sundown song is a different breed of monster altogether.
Even though I may get the notes down.
Playing it is another thing.
My brain tells me it is the right tempo, yet in actuality...
I am 3 times slower...
Alright.
Time to hone my skills yet again.
Improving on my dexterity and finger accuracy.
Signing off!
